October Blog from I'm Impressed

Halloween is a great time for kids to get creative with stamping and they'll have a MONSTROUSLY good time doing it!
Decorate your own trick or treat bag! Choose a sturdy kraft shopping or re use a colorful gift bag that will match your childs costume, then let then go to town with stamps, glitter and more. Add stamped images to a costume. Plain fabrics are easy to stamp with a few random images, boarders or full pattern head to toe! For fabrics that already have a pattern you can superimpose stamped images in a contrasting colour or try a bleach stamping technique! The only limit is your imagination and the best part about it NO SEWING! Imagine being covered in bugs (stamped of course), stamped with car images to be a "road", stamp a shirt with leaves wear brown pants go as a tree, or stamp an outfit with snowflakes and go as a "storm". Create cool temporaray tattoos. Use washable ink with your stamps to make scary tattoo's for your pirates, or intricate floras images for your fairies. Or stamp head to toe and go as the the tattooed man!
Having a Halloween Party? After using stamps to create unique invites create fun table decorations and party favors. Use your rubber stamps to make Halloween themed paper chains for a party! These are simple to make and are a great project for children. Create a set of spooky magnets to adorn a refrigerator, filing cabinet, or locker. Make a whole bunch to give to the trick-or-treaters or as party favors. Stamp spider webs on candles to make the extra scary! If the party is for kids consider letting them use stamps to decorate plain bags to carry home their prizes and sweets. It can be a great activity and is great for all ages.
