Snowflake Fun
These great ideas from Hero Arts are easy to make. They feature snowflake rubber stamps and one color paint so it's a great project for kids! This design is simple yet festive, and can be worn throughout the winter even after the holidays are gone. Stop by I'm Impressed for all your stamping needs! Materials:
white canvas shoes, white T-shirt, Liquid Pearls or Applique, blue fabric paint, foam paint brush, snowflake sequins, Hero Arts Snow Flake Stamps
Festive Winter Shoes
- Squeeze a bit of fabric paint on the foam brush and dab on the snowflakes. Place the snowflakes on the shoes, being sure your hand or something stable is in the shoe (this will help get a crisper image). Because the surface of the shoes is not flat you will have to roll the stamp a bit to get a complete image. Don’t worry if the image is a bit fuzzy; just add a gemstone, liquid pearls or snowflake sequins with fabric glue.
- Add Liquid Pearls in the center of each snowflake and sequin.
- Replace the laces with ribbon to match the stamping.
Seasonal T-Shirt
- Wash the shirt, following the manufacturer's instructions, dry and iron flat. Slide a heavy piece of cardboard into the shirt so you will be stamping on a hard flat surface.
- Squeeze a bit of fabric paint on the foam brush and dab on the snowflake stamps. Place the snowflakes in a random fashion around the neck of the shirt. After the paint is completely dry add snowflake sequins and dots of Liquid Pearls to each snowflake.
- The Gemstone stars are not intended for fabrics so I added a big dot of fabric glue to hold them in place.
- Hand wash the shirt gently when needed and do not place in dryer.
Tip:
Always clean your stamps immediately after using them with paint.
