Kids Market - "The Buskers Are Coming!"

The best of Granville Island's family fun buskers are returning to the Kids Market in early June 2007. The buskers will be at the rear of the market (just outside the big garage door) near Pedro's Organic Coffee House, 7 days a week between 11 AM and 6 PM. Watch for children's, acoustic and classical music, magicians, balloon artists and more.....

A visit to the Kids Market to shop and play, go splash in the water park next door, have some lunch and enjoy the duck pond now includes free entertainment from many of Vancouver's best family performers.

Solar Powered RoadShow -June 9 - Free Family Fun!

To wrap up National Environment Week, the Kids Market will be presenting 3 Free edu-activity shows : "Solar Ovens" by the Solar Powered Road Show. Show times are 11AM, 12:30 PM, & 2:00 PM.

"Kids" from 6 to 106 will enjoy creating and building their own solar ovens. Solar ovens can be designed to fold....you can use them for camping (and prevent forest fires.) Solar ovens are used all over the world!

Enjoy a family interactive, educational and fun activity. Want to learn about climate change, renewable energy, green technology....solar ovens are it!

Free ID Booklet & Fingerprinting Clinic

Kids Market is hosting an "All About Me" ID & Fingerprinting Clinic on Friday, Saturday, Sunday; May 25,26,27 from 11AM - 3 PM. This event is free. The ID & Fingerprinting Clinic will be run, on behalf of Child Find BC, by officers from the Kerrisdale Oakridge Marple Community Police Centre (KOMCPC). In addition to the clinic, information and merchandise supporting Child Find BC's work will be available. Come down to the Kids Market and create a valuable resource for promoting the safety of your child(ren).

Enjoy a day at the Kids Market - toys, food, entertainment, activities all for families. (The waterpark is right next door, too!)
