Homemade Valentines

Nothing says love like homemade Valentine's Day cards and it's a great open ended craft to stimulate a child's creativity!

Materials:
  • hearts (various sizes) cut from various coloured and pattern paper
  • construction paper
  • tape
  • glue
  • crayons or markers
  • paper doilies
  • stamps and stickers
  • glitter, bling, pompoms
Directions:
  1. Spread out all the materials on a covered table.
  2. Depending on your child's age, show some examples of how to make valentines: layer hearts one inside the other; add doilies for a lacy edge; decorate with stickers and/or glitter.
  3. Allow your child to randomly decorate hearts.
  4. They or you can then glue the decorated hearts piece of construction paper.
  5. Your child can add more designs to the background with markers and write a Valentine's message.  You can add a photo for that special one to Grandma.
Tip:
If you are creating Valentines to handout in class don't address the cards to specific children. Simply put  "From (you child's name)" It saves you time writing them, saves time sorting them in class and you don't have to worry about missing a certain child or spelling their name wrong.

Robeez - The perfect New Baby Gift

Scallywags carries a full line of the most adorable shoes made for babies and toddlers. Robeez (pronounced "Robbies") started as a home-based mom business in Vancouver.  Over the years, they have become one of the most popular shoes with parents  -- they're easy to walk in, washable, skid resistant, and stay on little feet! And I do mean all parents, in fact, several celeb babies have been spotted in Robeez, including the children of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Brooke Shields, Kate Hudson, Heidi Klum, Angela Bassett, and Bradgelina.

Oh, and did I mention how cute they are?

Made with colorful leather, Robeez shoes are available with over 70 designs, including dinosaurs, race cars, soccer balls, monsters, butterflies, hearts, flowers, bunnies, lions and tigers and bears! OH MY!
